Dr. Alican Dalkilic is currently working as an Attending Psychiatrist and Clinical Faculty Member at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Psychiatry of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Dalkilic graduated from Marmara University School of Medicine in 1993. He completed his Internship at Albany Medical College, Albany, NY and Residency Training in Psychiatry at Yale University, New Haven, CT (1996-99). He started MPH training at Yale University School of Public Health and eventually obtained an MPH degree from School of Public Health and Health Services, George Washington University in 2002.

He was one of the awardees of the 2008 Future Leaders in Psychiatry Program from Emory University and secured participation of St. Elizabeths Hospital at the Partners for Excellence in Psychiatry Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 2003. He has conducted clinical trials and published in peer-reviewed journals. His work and research have focused on competency based learning portfolios and psychotic, mood, and eating disorders. He is also interested in cultural psychiatry, health promotion, and disease prevention.
